Fallen Heroes Legacy Initiative
The Fallen Heroes Legacy Initiative is a long-term youth and family development program created to support children who have lost a parent in military service or due to service-connected injuries or conditions. Through mentorship, family stabilization, leadership development, scholarships, and career pathway support, Global Works Trust helps children of fallen service members move from loss to leadership. This initiative ensures that the legacy of fallen heroes is not only remembered but also carried forward through the lives, character, and impact of their children.
Why This Initiative Matters
When a child loses a parent who served, the impact extends far beyond grief. Families may face emotional, financial, educational, and relational challenges that can shape a child’s future. Global Works Trust exists to help ensure these children are not left to navigate that journey alone. Through structured programming and intentional mentorship, we help youth build resilience, confidence, discipline, leadership, and a clear vision for their future.
Our Program Pathway
Family Stabilization & Intake
We begin by understanding each family’s immediate needs and connecting them to available resources, counseling referrals, grief support, and household stabilization support.
Family Resilience & Support
We help strengthen the household through financial literacy, career support for surviving parents or guardians, wellness resources, and ongoing encouragement.
Youth Development Pipeline
Youth participants are connected to Global Works Trust programming, including academic support, life skills training, leadership development, and exposure to education and career pathways.
VALOR Mentorship Corps
Each youth is paired with a vetted mentor who provides consistency, encouragement, accountability, leadership coaching, and guidance.
Legacy Leadership Track
Participants are encouraged to lead community service, environmental stewardship, and humanitarian projects in honor of their parent’s legacy. This helps youth move from being recipients of support to becoming carriers of legacy.
Scholarship & Economic Advancement
As participants grow, they may gain access to scholarship opportunities, career pathways, entrepreneurship exposure, and long-term economic development support.
